The design of this sixty-eight unit residential facility was carefully integrated into a well-established residential neighborhood. As the former Beresford Elementary School site, it was lined with mature trees and fronted on three sides by quiet residential streets. The site hardscape and landscape created a series of outdoor spaces to accommodate senior residents as well as their visitors. Special attention was given to the plant material design outside ground floor patios, fencing and in other public areas. The outdoor seating areas include both warmer and sheltered areas to take advantage of the variable San Mateo weather.
