Callander Associates worked with the
City to expand their largest, oldest, and most visible park
facility. The $6 million project included renovation of the
existing 23-acre park, and an additional 10 acres of new facilities.
The completed park provides lighted sports fields, a community
center building, open space, accessible picnic and play areas,
a group picnic shelter and other accessory buildings, and
an existing indoor pool. Expansion of the park was made possible
by purchase of adjacent land and the relocation of the City’s
public works and parks corporation yards. During the master
planning phase, Callander Associates facilitated four public
workshops and directed the work of a market research consultant
to determine user preferences. |
