This is a joint-use project between the City of Stockton and the neighboring elementary school. Callander Associates worked closely with stakeholders to ensure a balance of active spaces in context to the feasibility of the site and the needs and desires of the users. As a result, the first phase, comprised of passive paths, green space, and the neighboring elementary school; seamlessly joins with the recently completed second phase of this park, which features a farm-themed playground, "water tower" art piece, joint-use ballfield plaza, tennis courts, and basketball courts. The project's success was attributed to the presence of Callander Associates' construction administrator, who kept the project within budget and on-schedule.
