South San Francisco BART/Linear Park Master Plan
The Master Plan for this 2.85-mile long multi-use bikeway and linear park was selected by the California Parks and Recreation Society for a “2004 Award of Excellence”. The park occupies a 50-foot wide corridor of land above the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) line that tunnels underground through South San Francisco. Working with City staff, agency representatives, stakeholders, private property owners, and through a series of public workshops, Callander Associates developed the Master Plan that aligned the pathway through the BART corridor and identified key linkages, street crossings, amenities, and other special features. Construction of the entire linear park is estimated to cost $6.6 million.

Hayward's Downtown B Street
The northern California chapter of the American Public Works Association has bestowed the “2004 Distinguished Project of the Year - Streets” award on this $2.9 million, four block long, revitalization of the downtown. City staff, the engineering consultant, and Callander Associates collaborated to integrate economic revitalization goals with traffic calming, pedestrian safety, and storefront improvements.
