Callander Associates was recently selected by The Sacramento Regional Transit District (RT) to receive the prestigious “Golden Spike Award” for Outstanding Certified Small Business for our work on the 13th and 16th Street Regional Transit Stations. The award will be presented at the upcoming 5th Annual Prime and Subcontractors Conference and Golden Spike Award Luncheon held on January 29, 2009 in McClellan Park, CA.

The Golden Spike Award recognizes: highly successful companies that effectively utilize Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) subcontractors in fulfillment of the RT DBE Program goals; DBE or small business firms that have performed as either a Prime or subcontractor on selected contracts; and, companies who have made superior contributions to RT in its mission to provide safe, reliable, convenient, affordable, and accessible public transportation.
