The implementation of recent improvements
at Campbell Union High Scholl District campuses demonstrates
that green principles can be incorporated in every project.
This was clearly in evidence at the SCVURPPP (Santa
Clara Valley Urban Runoff Pollution Prevention Program) Annual
C.3 Workshop hosted on June 3 in Sunnyvale. Mark
Slichter shared a presentation highlighting water conservation
techniques employed in the renovation of 5 track and field
bowls around the District. Highlights included demonstrations
of principles employed in minimizing storm water discharges
associated with the conversion of these facilities to synthetic
turf. Click here

SCVURRP is an association of 13 cities and towns in the Santa
Clara Valley, Santa Clara County and the Santa Clara Valley
Water District, that brings awareness to the growing problem
of urban runoff. For more information, please visit www.mywatershedwatch.org.
