Presentation at the Landfill Postclosure Land Use Symposium   back | previous | next

The Landfill Post Closure Land Use Symposium is bringing together over 100 engineers, developers, regulators, planners, landscape architects and other stakeholders to discuss the many challenges of building on or near a landfill site. The two day symposia sponsored by California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) is being held in both Ontario (southern California) and Stockton on Feb. 15th through 16th and Feb. 28th through March 1st respectively. Callander Associates has an incredible opportunity to be part of the events in both locations. Peter Callander, Ben Woodside and Melissa Grubb will be joining a panel of experts from the City of Sacramento, Brian Kangas Foulk and Treadwell & Rollo. They will kick off the two day event with a presentation focusing on the process it takes to develop on a landfill and include a case study describing the Sutter's Landing Park Project. This team has worked together on many landfill projects in the past and will bring all of that knowledge and expertise to the presentation and panel discussion.

Callander Associates hopes to inform the audience of the many opportunities available on land that is thought to be unusable.
